“I wanted to give my wife an unforgettable gift for our 10th Anniversary, so I surprised her with an album of songs.”
Timothy Ray is a singer songwriter based out of Atlanta, GA. He started this project as a gift for his wife on their 10th Wedding Anniversary. He wrote her an album of songs about their relationship covering from when they met to raising 4 kids together. He doesn't let her listen to any of the songs until they get released and the full album is scheduled for release on March 12th, 2021.
As a husband and father of 4 boys it is easy to see where he gets inspiration for his music. This Atlanta based artist started this new project as a “sung” love letter of sorts to his wife for their 10 year wedding anniversary. He recorded an album worth of songs and has been releasing them regularly since September 25th, 2020. Oh Yeah, and his wife doesn’t even get to hear them until they get released!
As an independent artist he has been building up moment since his first release with having over 150k streams in the first 4.5 months. This is all leading up to the debut album "Take It In" which is coming out on March 12th, 2021. This 11 song album shows a picture of their relationship together from meeting in the hallway at church "Notice", having their first kiss on an airplane "First Kiss high" getting married "I Do (Every Day Forever)" to raising a family together and everything in between.
Timothy surprised his wife by telling her on their 10th wedding anniversary night. She thought they were just going to redo wedding photos but she came home to a camera, candles and roses. This is not the first time Timothy has surprised his wife. In fact a few years back they had a story go viral where he actually TOLD HER SHE WAS PREGNANT after he had a vasectomy. It was featured on People Magazine, Daily Mail and hundreds of other news sites with millions of views. So I guess in typical fashion he had to film the moment and turn it into the first music video! His music finds inspiration from guys like Ben Rector, Andy Grammer and even some mainstream pop sounds like the Jonas Brothers and Harry Styles. While some songs feel fun and light, on others you may just want to slow dance to a John Mayer like guitar solo. There is a relevance to his sound but also a very deliberate message in the lyrics. You can’t help but listen to his music and think that love is a great thing. His passion for music and love is apparent in every song he sings and listening to this music just might make you want to fall in love all over again!
Timothy Ray is a pop project of musician Tim Brummel. He chose this artist name because he is "Timothy" even though he goes by Tim normally. And a nickname he gave his wife when they met was Ray. Together that is how he got the name "Timothy Ray".
